K’aute Pasifika Trust works with our communities toward a shared vision of improved health and wellbeing. We are a charitable trust based in Hamilton where we provide health, education and social services to Pasifika communities and all other ethnicities who wish to access our services. K’aute Pasifika is the lead provider for the Midlands Pacific Provider collective Aere Tai. The Collective is made up of Seven Pacific community health providers delivering high quality community services to Pasifika communities in the Midlands region.
Rachel was born in Samoa and is of Samoan descent. She moved to Hamilton with her family when she was young.
Before being appointed as CE of K’aute Pasifika Trust, Rachel practiced as a litigation lawyer for almost 15 years in Auckland, Wellington and Waikato. During that time, Rachel held governance roles on the board of K’aute Pasifika Trust and Lifeline NZ. She has current executive/board roles with the Hamilton Christian Night Shelter and Child Matters.
Edgar has 28 years’ teaching and management experience in Secondary Schools in NZ and the UK. Since 2000 he has been the Waikato regional manager for the Tertiary Education Commission, Head of School at Wintec and currently, Regional Engagement Manager working in the office of the Chief Executive at Wintec. As well as Chair of K’aute Pasifika Trust Board, he is Chair of Trust Waikato, and Chair of Child Matters (Child Protection Studies). Edgar is also an active Justice of the Peace.
