It is our dream to create the country’s first Pan Pacific Community Hub. The vision of the Hub is to create a place that offers a whole of family, wraparound service which operates across all the wellbeing domains. The Hub will include a large modern fale that will provide a place to belong, a home for all our community and a place to welcome visitors to the Waikato Region.
We are delighted that Trust Waikato has approved funding of $2.1 million toward the Hub’s construction as a significant capital project for the city. Hamilton City Council has earmarked the Stadium Bowling Club, a high-profile central city site, for the project. We are now working on the design and regulatory compliance stages of the project.
As well as a head office for K’aute Pasifika, the hub will include a medical clinic and pharmacy dispensary, our nurse-led services, social workers and education programmes, and a Pan Pacific Early Childhood Centre. There are also opportunities for other health services to co-locate to include a midwifery, physiotherapy and podiatry services.
We deliver free health, education, employment and social services to all individuals, families and communities. These services are delivered from a myriad of locations which are not purpose built and present challenges in terms of location, accessibility and suitability of the facilities themselves.
The hub will enable us to better support the holistic wellbeing of all individuals, families and communities through the continued delivery of these programmes from a purpose built facility.
Primary Health Care Ltd and Creators Educational Trust will provide vital expertise to the medical practice and early childcare centre. Memorandums of understanding between the parties are in place.
To reflect our belief that the hub is for all communities, K’aute Pasifika is working to include Orchestras Central in the hub facility. A Memorandum of Understanding between the parties is in place.
K’aute Pasifika is grateful for the support and advice from our other strategic partners and supporters, including Wintec, PCM Consulting Ltd, Deloittes and Bettle & Associates.
