K’aute Pasifika Trust recently celebrated its 20-year anniversary with over 300 members of the pacific and broader community at the Hamilton Gardens. Created in 1999 and led by a small group of Pacific women including former CEO Leaupepe Elisapeta Karalus, K’aute Pasifika’s mission was born out of the need to improve access to health and social services for Pacific people. Rachel Karalus, chief executive of K’aute Pasifika Trust, said it was important to celebrate the significant milestone and acknowledge the many people who have individually and collectively supported K’aute Pasifika Trust.
