We are extremely excited to welcome Tuifa’asisina Letelemalanuola Tuitofa Moe-Penn as our Early Learning Centre Project Lead.

Lanuola is a proud daughter, mother of five and happily married from Samoa and Mangere, South Auckland. Her parents come from the villages of Letogo, Falelima, Saipipi (Savai’i) and Falelatai. She holds a prominent chief title ‘Tuifa’asisina’ from her mother’s village Falelatai (Matamatanonofo) to serve her family, village, church, and community.

Lanuola qualifications include a Master’s in Educational Leadership, Postgraduate Diploma of Education, Bachelor of Education and a Diploma of Teaching (Pacific – ECE). She has worked as a registered teacher for over 10 years, a Centre Manager and Project lead for multiple Early Childhood Education developments in the community.

Rachel Karalus, CEO of K’aute Pasifika is incredibly grateful to have Lanuola join the team. “We were looking for someone extraordinary, someone with Pacific cultural knowledge, experience and passionate about working with our tamaiti (children). Lanuola is all of those things and much more. We are truly blessed.”

Lanuola is humbled to be able to serve the Waikato community. She is passionate about laying a strong foundation for the next generation and refers to the Samoan proverb as inspiration. “O le tagata ma lona aiga, o le tagata ma lona fa’asinomaga" which translates to "A person, their family, their values, beliefs and identity will guide them through life."

Lanuola is currently the chairperson for the Mangere Pasifika ECE trust and secretary for the Sosaiete Aoga Amata Samoa I Aotearoa (SAASIA Inc) which aims to support Pasifika leaders and teachers.

She is also a co-owner/Director operating two Pasifika Early Learning Services and a Consultancy firm– Visionesia. Visionesia recognises culturally diverse learners and aims to be a compass in aligning Pacific values and beliefs to empower children to learn and grow.

The Pan Pacific Community hub will include an Early Learning Centre, a GP and pharmacy, a well-being centre, and an open fale-style space for community and cultural events.
