It is with immense respect and gratitude that we announce the resignation of Chief Executive Leaupepe Rachel Drent, after eight impactful years of leadership at K’aute Pasifika. Her resignation will take effect at the end of March 2025.
Maria Nu’utofia and her family relocated from Invercargill to Hamilton, leaving behind familiar connections and relying on their faith and K’aute Pasifika’s guidance to navigate the transition. Starting in emergency housing, their perseverance led them to secure a private rental and, ultimately, achieve the dream of homeownership.
We are thrilled to announce that we have moved to our new K'aute Pasifika Village, where our Village Fale and Early Learning Centre are located at 100 Seddon Rd, Frankton, Hamilton.

K'aute Pasifika and Pinnacle Inc. are excited to announce a strategic partnership, forming a new venture named Fatu Lalaga. This collaboration marks a significant milestone for K'aute Pasifika's expansion into general practice ownership, with the new venture Fatu Lalaga acquiring Hamilton East Medical Centre (HEMC).
Aotearoa is at very high risk of a measles outbreak. Of all diseases, measles is one of the most dangerous and contagious. It is so infectious that, if you are not immunised and come into contact with someone who has measles, you are very likely to catch it and pass it on to others. We encourage everyone to get their MMR vaccination.
Warm, dry, and energy efficient homes are essential for all our people to have positive social, educational and employment outcomes. Homes that are properly insulated, heated, and ventilated can boost school attendance rates, reduce the likelihood of health issues like asthma, rheumatic fever, and bronchitis, and lessen the impact of rising energy bills, especially in winter.
Mother of two, Loreena Purcell grew up never feeling heard and loved. Growing up in an unstable home, and the victim of violence, sexual abuse and neglect it was a challenge for her to feel safe and trust people. With the support of Marina, our Whānau Resilience Coordinator, Loreena was slowly able to overcome her challenges and build a better life for herself and her children.
K'aute Pasifika continues to work towards excellence in our services to transform our futures and we look forward to continuing our contribution as Pasifika to the fabric of Aotearoa.
Kartika's journey to assemble a diverse team at Roman Blinds began when she approached K’aute Pasifika two years ago while recruiting for staff. Kartika wanted to create a positive and diverse work culture, founded on principles of meaningful work, open communication, and unwavering core values.

Gasologa Rosaline Fasimaau, wife and mother of four migrated to New Zealand from Samoa four years ago. She wanted a job that would fit within school hours. Thanks to the employment team she got a job and is has been working for six months.

Sleeping in his car for three months, 40-year old Jhana Hurinui had hit rock bottom. He had lost his job, had nowhere to live and did not know where to go for help. Thanks to the help he received from our Employment Services team, Jhana has changed his life for the better.
